the things i hate about TRA

what do you hate about the new game, (maybe a hit to the creators for next game(s) :sun:

- the fact that you can save when you want, so you have to do some anonning things a 1000 time

- that you need at least 3 hands to play

- that left isn't always left just because you touched you mouse

edit: offcourse it much be CAN'T save whenever you want

Uh...okay?

What's wrong with saving whenever you want? When you save the game, it saves at the last checkpoint.

You don't need 3 hands if you play on PS2.

And what??? Left isn't always left? What the heck does that mean?

EDIT: How about a logical explanation and maybe try re-wording your rant?

not as short as Legend seemed, but it should have been longer. perhaps combined TR 1-3 but that's asking for a lot.

woops should have been CAN'T, yes you can save to the last checkpoint, but that means ou have to kill the same demon 1000 times is you have problems with jumping in the lavatower

i don't have a PS2, sorry but thats to much money for my family

and on PC don't know how it is on PS2, left right bachwards and forwards change when the camera position changes (= moving your mouse)

I still don't understand what you mean when you say the lava tower stuff.

Do you mean the TORSO? If so, it's easy.

PS2 is now only $50 for the old one and $150 for the new one. Not that much in general.

And I don't play games like that on PC. Too complicated. The only PC games I play are the Sims and Sims 2, and even I don't play that for the fact that I have a laptop and there's not enough memory.

Getting back on topic, I don't like the fact that I have to go through a whole level just to get to the Centaur fight.

I believe he means the passage, where you have to shoot at the symbols and reach within the time to the next save soil...

-I hate the camera angle, when Lara is fighting with her enemys

-some passages are really lengthy...
Do you think I care for you so little, that betraying me would make a difference?

i still don't know what 'passage' you speak of.

ever notice in St. Francis Folly, that to go all the way down, the staircase is like 2 minutes long?

The fact that there are many bugs in this game:

- City of Vilcabamba
- St. Francis Folly

Quite annoying!

The city of vilcabamba bug is quite annoying...but the Damocles room bug you can avoid. Just pull out the stone as slowly as you can.

As I understand it, it is not a bug but a performance problem... That's why turning off full screen effects will help most pc gamers.

What I dislike about TRA:

- Too little costumes, and too many ugly "gag" costumes (Doppelganger (yuck), Golden (eugh), Scorched Natla (eek)) and the AoD one should've been the jeans outfit, that's much more a symbol for AoD than the outfit worn in the Louvre

- The cinematic at the start of Croft Manor isn't unlocked

-And I think they should made the Quicktime Events/Interactive Cutscenes/Super Action or whatever you call it an unlockable as well, so that it isn't necessary to replay a level just to play one of them again.
scio me nihil scire

I wished the AoD outfit was the jean outfit. That'd be the only one I'd have Lara wear.

And I wish the interactive cutscenes AND the boss battles were like in a menu where you pick anyone and any outfit available. That'd be awesome.

What I dislike in TRA: (brace yourself)
I have TRA on both PC and PS2 (I'm silly that way).
The problem is that TRA was made for the PS2 and added PC almost as an afterthought - the controls are EVERTWHERE - they're scattered more tan the relics and artifacts. Mouse, J, space, direction, Q - it's just silly.

I agree with the Saving - bring back the saving structure as in the Classic TR's. Save somewhere and when you load... you're in the same place. Although I do then reach 1000 saves per game, I feel better and don't get as frustrated (i.e. throwing the platform out the window...).

The computer version is really annoying - the "coat racks" (from Legend) in the Manor gym don't turn at 90 degrees or they go backwards, so I haven't finished Croft Manor on the PC. In Peru, the second level (I forgot what it's called) there are two path to take where you make your way up to a moving shimmy ledge to open a door: I cannot make one of those jumps. On the PS2 i can, so its a hardware/software problem - not the organic bit at the controls (I mean there is only one way to jump - spacebar).

The time trials: what is the reasoning behind letting the time run through the 'mini-cutscenes' when the game shows you what's about to happen: like in the Lost Valley when the 'gate' comes down to dam up the waterfall at the end of the level? Come on!

I don't understand the "menu" idea: maybe a more in-depth explanation??

I like the idea of replaying only the interactive cut scenes -fun!
BUT... Seeing as I finished this game, and not TR1: UB (those freakin graphics) I REALLY like TRA.
P.S. sorry for the essay. I fel better now tho! :D

Well the menu is pretty straight forward. What do you want them to do?

Play Game (This let's you play the actual game)
Play Croft Manor (Lara' manor)
Settings (change the game around)

Let's not forget the difficulty settings!!!

Easy (This means that the game will be easy to play!)

XD

I'm sorry, but really now. Next thing, I suppose you want them to apologize for not explaining what the menu options mean?

*Apology to the Fans from Eidos*

We're sorry we didn't explain what the menu selections mean. We didn't know people with a 2nd grade education would play the game.

I'm not mocking you, it's just a joke.

I agree with obi-wan on the time trial running through cutscenes. It's really annoying when you've tried 20 times to complete a time trial and it keeps showing what happens and the time is still running.

You've done it 20 times already! You KNOW what's going to happen!

And those precious seconds make all the difference!

Strange because when I play, the time trial doesn't run through the cutscenes. It pauses while the scene plays. Then when gameplay comes back, it resumes.

It does pause through cinematics and interactive sequences, but the little cut scenes like when you pull a lever and a door opens, it shows you and your time's still going!
