The Facts

TR Legend is produced by Crystal Dynamics, not by Core Design.

The game is supposed to come out on April 7th in Europe and April 11th in North America. (PC, PS2 and XBox! PSP and XBox360 will follow later.)

The AoD storyline is not continued. Kurtis will not(!) be in it.

The story will look back on the Himalaya incident (plane crash) and the rest will probably be placed just after TR1. (No specific "year" was mentioned.)

Other locations are: Bolivia, Peru, Ghana, Japan, Siberia(?)

Lara uses her twin pistols again and they have unlimited ammo. But she has to reload from time to time. Besides that Lara can only carry few other weapons (grenades plus one weapon of choics) and they will be seen on her. (The magic backpack gets realistic.) She can pick which one she wants to carry along.

Lara has some new moves and abilities. She can do an action slide (while in combat mode) she can do short jumps from one ledge to anotherone above, or on the side while hanging from the ledge.

The mansion will be back.

There will be secrets in the game. (Actually three kinds.)

Official statement on controls: "We want to support keyboard and mouse and gamepad." (You won't have to use the mouse.) The analog stick will control Lara on the PS2.

The headset she wears can be used to contact Zip and Alister (a research assistant) back at the mansion.

There are checkpoints where the game is saved automatically.
