Signature and Avatar Size

Which option do you prefer?

A total of 4 Votes have been submitted.

50%

1. 500*200 (Sig) / 100*100 (Avatar) (2)

50%

2. 500*150 (Sig) / 125*125 (Avatar) (2)

When I'm moving the forum, I will make some adjustments, e.g. Avatar and Signature size.

Many users think that the height of 300 px for signatures is too much, so this will go down.

I will now suggest two options and you may pick one. The one with the most votes will be implemented.

1. Signature Size: 500*200 pix
Avatar Size: 100*100 pix (same as now)

Reveal spoiler for an example.

2. Signature Size: 500*150 pix
Avatar Size: 125*125 pix (bigger)

For me i'd much prefer a deeper signiature - I prefer the dimensions, and avatars are always exactly square and size doesn't account for much. Will animating .GIFs be allowed, or will they go over a size limit?

That depends on the animated gif. The file size limit will stay the same.

To be perfectly honest, I prefer a combo of the two options: the 100*100 avatar but the smaller signature size 500*150. Can that be an option? :-)

You were really undecided but the vote in the German forum was clearly indicating that the "smaller signature, larger avatar" option was desired by most users, so this was implemented.

12 voted in favour of that option, 1 told me he missvoted, 1 voted for the other option.

I agree with the smaller sig, larger av. When using deeper sigs, it drags the attention of the eye away from the av, so it makes you think; "Is there any point to using an avatar if no-one looks at it?" But thats probably my attention seeking part of my character creeping out to tell you that.

I personally think it looks better, evening out your post if you like.

I partially agree. I think the large signatures draw the attention away from any other images posted in a thread.

Also, animated signatures sometimes make the forum run slow, as do large images in threads. I don't think animated signatures should be allowed...not just yet anyway.

In addition, I do agree that large signatures do draw attention away from everything else.
