I've seen Batman Begins recently (for the first time) and I must say I love it how the new Batman Movies are less comic-like and more realistic. I loved the older movies when I was a kid but I find them a bit silly now. So I was very sceptical when a friend asked us to go to cinema a while ago to see the Dark Knight. But this movie changed my mind about Batman and made me want to watch the "first".

I went to see Twilight on New Years Eve and if I'm honest, it didn't live up to my expectations, even though I have not read the book. Although I'm somewhat pleased that it murdered High School Musical 3 in Box office hits, I'm suprised that it did. All dialogue between the characters seemed difficult and forced whilst I didn't think that any of the characters were convincing. I'll probably not watchi it again, and it certainly hasn't persuaded me to buy the book or look out for the sequel.

Honestly, I think you should have read the book first. That's the mistake a lot of people are making, by seeing the movie first and then not reading the books because of the movie. The books are far better beyond comparison if you ask me (although I did like the movie), and I think you should give them a chance. At least borrow a copy from the library, that way you aren't spending money on it should you dislike it.

Twilight wasn't really a movie I was wanting to see, primarily because I normally wouldn't be caught dead near anything "popular" nowadays (here's where the misanthropic attitude comes in, [hehe] ) because of the people around me; almost everyone in my school is obsessed with Twilight just because the movie came out, but two weeks before then, they had no idea what Twilight or Edward Cullen was. Now, it's all they talk about. On the other side of the fire are the cynical, who say they don't see what's so good about Twilight, it's stupid, Edward Cullen is ugly; now first of all, this grinds my gears because Edward Cullen is a fictional character, played by Robert Pattinson in the movie, so Robert is who you should be referring to. Anyway, and they're all trash talking it, and I honestly don't know which side I'd rather be on. I love Twilight since I think it's an amazing book saga, but I also hate loving it because everyone else does, and as I'm sure Chloe can tell you, I don't like being like everyone else. So I'm not sure which side I stand on at the moment. I could be neutral or a freelancer, but I'm really not sure right now.

But anyway, rant over; I say give Twilight a read and see what you make of it. If you do enjoy it, I'm willing to bet you'd say it was better than the movie. I myself just watched a little bit of Corky Romano this morning; a hilarious movie. Speaking of High School Musical, don't even get me started on it! I honestly can't stand Disney movie actors/actresses sometimes (the TV shows on Disney Channel, I don't mind at all). I'm starting to hate Zac Efron; yes, he's a very attractive person, but he went from a nobody to a somebody by some stupid musical, and now it's like he's a God of some sort. Ha bloody ha. If that was the case, I'd have tried to become famous a long time ago. It's rather scary when someone becomes so popular, people like to photoshop their face onto a pornstar's body and make it look like the celebrity's.

Precisely. I even stopped reading the books for awhile; I'm on Eclipse, but everyone's constantly talking about Twilight in school, so I'm reading other books for now. Hell, I'm not even wearing my Twilight hoodie for awhile before I get mistaken for an obsessed fan.

I'll probably give the book a miss, I'm extremely particular about which books I read. For example, at the moment I will not read anything that has been advertised in women's magazines because I cannot think of anything worse than reading about some lonely woman who has a pretty normal life until some guy turns up and whisks her off of her feet only to then break her heart then beg for forgiveness. No, I'm an avid fan of thrillers with a slight hint of romance. I hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon Experimental Heart by Jennifer L. Rohn whilst randomly Googling. It is probably the best book I have ever read. It satisfies my thirst for science whilst having a believable and addictable plot and a little romance, but only so much so that your imagination takes over. I seriously recommend it.

Speaking of High School Musical, don't even get me started on it! I honestly can't stand Disney movie actors/actresses sometimes (the TV shows on Disney Channel, I don't mind at all).

Argh! I want to burn everything to do with Disney Channel, or anything to do with High school/ teenage romance. I swear to god it makes me nauseous. These programs are bad for children! They are the reason why schools get bad grades. They set up false illusions for the preteens who are about to enter Secondary School/ High school: It tricks them into thinking that the coming years will be the best in their lives as they will 'find true love and live happily ever after with the best friends in the world'. BOO Wrong! Personally my years in Secondary school (11-16 years of age) were arguable the worst in my life! I don't regret anything and I certainly don't regret what has made me the cold hearted person that I am but I cannot begin to tell you how much sh*t I went through. I met two arseholes and they tricked me into thinking that I loved them only to then induce some of the most painful moments when I trusted noone. These shows concentrate on the sickly lovey-dovey side of school but there is nothing to do with the amount of work to do or the splitting of true friendships. The extent to which that does happen is over a boy or sth. Thats just ridiculous.
And what do you get at the end of it? Teenagrs who go off the rails as it didn't turn out to be a fairytale whatsoever. Tough luck honey, thats life. Deal with it.

Anyway, last night I watched Mamma Mia! again. I like musicals.

I read about it online just now and it sounds really interesting. I put it down for my list of books to read, thanks, :thumbsup !

Too true. That explains why almost everyone in my school is dating and breaking up like mad. If doing such instead of sex made you a whore, then good Lord, my school is full of sluts!

On a more positive note, I want to see Mamma Mia plainly because Pierce Brosnan is in it, [hehe] .

I loved all of the books and I certainly won't let all the hype keep me from seeing the movie this month. If there's a bunch of annoying, giggling and screaming 13 year old girls in the theatre I'll just make fun of them and try to enjoy the movie. :-)
