If you're stuck at the part where you grab onto the pole then grapple to the celing, then i had the problem of not making the jump

if thats your problem as well, try dropping the ground, climbing on the crate in front, then jumping/grappling, so that you have a longer rope to swing from. then you should make the jump no problem

Just press E, and whilst holding E press S to go all the way down on the grapple, let go and then press W and swing as furthest as you can, and jump forward!

Shortcut?

TR Girl says there a shortcut, can some1 plz explain where... it is reli buggin me cos i cant find 1 an tis lvl is hard on time trial 4 me. plz help :shout:

5th level; Kasakhstan

I've managed to activate the electric teslargun but by mistake dropped down to the lower floor. I can get back up to the area where the dead scientist is lying but the door won't open fully to let me get back to the teslargun to finish the level. Does anyone know how to do this? I've been trying for ages and it's driving me mad! :mad:

What do you mean "won't open fully"? I managed to jump through the gap.

However someone else (playing on the PS2 like you) said that he couldn't return there either... So it might be a bug.

So if the power's short-circuited, how do I get through the door?

There's a tip on how to get the gold posted by MattCooper. I've quoted it below:

Shoot the moveable floor thing e to as far as you can get it.... basicly so it lines up with the broken fence so you can jump accross easly.. Okay anyways back still on the torrent machine.. Shoot at the moveable floor swing.. so shoot the bottom of it first.the floor.. and keep hitting that trigger on your controller as fast as you can.. Now shooting the floor first working your way to the top of the floor so working from the bottom to the top of the cable to the very top peace will make it slide all the way to the right.. then ya can get rid of the boxs on the right hand side where the broken fence is...and work your way left around the corner jump down over to the plateform you moved there and then jump over to the next plat form then jump to the swing and BLING BLING you have GOLD..

I made the jump;) and i'm in england now:p
you just gotta get almost the lowest of the rope and then swing as much as you can and then jump;)
P.S hold space longer for higher jump;)

Don't sound so ratty about it, it's already been posted a few times, no doubt if i explain the shortcut now, more people will just ask again later.
But whatever, it's not a secret, duh.
In the room with the big gun and the tesla tower, move the crates behind you to the rails to the left of the gun, you might want to move the exploding barrels before you do so.
Push the crate up to the rails, jump on it, and then jump over to the hanging grate, there, you can turn a bit to the right and jump onto the walkway opposite.
This saves you having to climb the tesla tower, go through the passages, charging the core, etc etc.

That's the shortcut.
